Domestic pepper prices
As of 1 pm today (June 29), domestic pepper prices are maintained at 137,800 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 137,000 - 139,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices remained unchanged, except for Ho Chi Minh City, which did not change the decrease of 500 VND/kg, anchored at the threshold of 137,000 VND/kg.
Currently, listed provinces and cities are as follows:
Gia Lai and Dong Nai provinces trade at the mark of 137,000 VND/kg. This is the lowest price of domestic pepper offered to the market.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong continue to offer for sale at a purchase price of 13,900,000 VND/kg.
World pepper price
In the world market, pepper prices maintained a sideways trend in most countries. Especially black and white peppers in Indonesia decreased in price, trading in the range of 7, 121 - 9, 252 USD/ton (equivalent to 188, 379 VND/kg - 244,753 VND/kg), down 3 USD/ton and 4 USD/ton respectively.
Meanwhile, the price of black pepper in Brazil sold to the market is 5,900 USD/ton (about 156,079 VND/kg). Notably, black and white pepper in Malaysia are still trading at high prices, respectively 12,250 USD/ton and 9,350 USD/ton.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains at 6,100 - 6,200 USD/ton. In the same direction, ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 9,000 USD/ton (equivalent to 238,086 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
Domestic pepper prices are struggling at the price range of 140,000 VND/kg in the context of the international market being differentiated between major producing countries.
Currently, the amount of pepper sold from garden owners is still quite limited, while the amount of goods brought to wholesale markets is almost negligible. However, the buying demand is also cautious, creating a fragile balance of the market.
The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), export types in the first 5 months of the year continued to differentiate. Black pepper exports reached 83,500 tons, worth 512.08 million USD, an increase of 22.6% in volume and 14.3% in value compared to the same period in 2025, continuing to maintain the role of a key export item with a proportion of about 68.5% of total export volume. The average export price of black pepper reached 6,133 USD/ton, down 6.7% compared to the same period last year.
