Pepper prices in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City today remained unchanged at VND137,000/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong province simultaneously set the target of 138,000 VND/kg. These are the 2 provinces listing the highest domestic pepper prices in the country.
World pepper prices: Continue to decrease slightly
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in most regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the busiest markets continues to depreciate. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,129 - 9,965 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,992 VND/kg - 262,778 VND/kg), both decreasing slightly by 0.1%.
Meanwhile, after a day of sharp decline in the Brazilian exchange rate, the region is currently at 5,900 USD/ton (about 155,583 VND/kg). Meanwhile, Malaysia's black and white pepper remained at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, currently anchored at 6,440 - 6,570 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 241,286 VND/kg).
