Domestic pepper prices: Extending the stable days
As of 1:30 p.m. today (September 25), the domestic pepper market was mostly stable in the regions, with an average decrease of VND100/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 136,000 - 138,500 VND/kg.
Listing the price at 136,000 VND/kg is Gia Lai province, the only slight decrease of 500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City today remained unchanged at VND137,000/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong province are respectively at 138,000 - 138,500 VND/kg. These are the 2 provinces listing the highest domestic pepper prices in the country.
World pepper prices: Indonesia extends its increase
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in most regions. In particular, the Indonesian exchange - one of the busiest markets continues to increase prices. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,154 - 10,001 USD/ton (equivalent to 188,222 VND/kg - 263,127 VND/kg), up by 0.08% and 0.09%, respectively.
The Brazilian exchange continues to stand still, this region is currently at 6,000 USD/ton (about 157,860 VND/kg). Meanwhile, Malaysia's black and white pepper remained at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, currently anchored at 6,440 - 6,570 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,150 USD/ton (equivalent to 240,737 VND/kg).
