Assessment and forecast
According to a representative of the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), from now until the new harvest in February 2026, Vietnam will continue to increase imports because the market demand at the end of the year is usually higher by 10 - 15%. Although the new crop output is expected to increase by 5 - 10% compared to last year's 180,000 tons, the supply of goods in the short term is still scarce.
With a steady price increase and continued high world demand, Vietnamese pepper is on track to set a new record of 1.5 billion USD in export turnover.
