Implementing the opinions of the Secretariat in Official Dispatch No. 18045-CV/VPTW dated October 3, 2025 of the Central Party Office on personnel work to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); Pursuant to the VCCI Charter approved by the Prime Minister, on the afternoon of November 3, the VCCI Standing Committee held the 11th VCCI Executive Committee Conference, term VII, 2021-2026, to complete the position of VCCI President for the 2021-2026 term.
The conference was attended by 86/90, members of the VCCI Executive Committee; representatives of the Party Committee of the Central Fatherland Front of Associations; Central Party Office; Central Organization Committee; Central Committee for Policy and Strategy; Central Committee for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization; Leaders of units under and directly under VCCI.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, VCCI Chairman - Pham Tan Cong expressed that this is a special Conference, perfecting the personnel of VCCI heads.
According to VCCI President Pham Tan Cong, in Official Dispatch No. 18045-CV/VPTW dated October 3, 2025 of the Central Party Office on personnel work to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Secretariat appointed Comrade Ho Sy Hung to hold the position of Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee and introduced him to be elected to hold the position of VCCI President for the 2021-2026 term.
"I would like to thank the Executive Board for accompanying me during my work. Completing the VCCI leadership position is necessary to create new momentum in the current period," said Mr. Pham Tan Cong.
"Comrade Ho Sy Hung is a capable, experienced person, has held many important positions, has attachment and prestige with the business community... he is an important person that VCCI really needs in the coming time, this is an extremely practical choice of the Secretariat.
Recently, the Party and State have set a growth target of 8% in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years. To achieve this goal, the role of entrepreneurs and enterprises is extremely important and has been demonstrated and promoted by the Party and State in recent Resolutions, including Resolution 68-NQ/TW and Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
The business community is facing a new development role, therefore, organizing a conference to perfect VCCI leadership today is extremely optimistic, Chairman Pham Tan Cong affirmed.
The Conference then listened to the Standing Committee's Report on completing the personnel of the leaders of the VCCI Executive Committee, term VII and the Executive Committee gave opinions in the form of votes.
At the Conference, the Executive Committee resolved: Pursuant to the Charter of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, the Executive Committee approved the results of the work of perfecting the personnel of VCCI leaders for the 7th term, 2021-2016. Specifically:
Agree to let comrade Pham Tan Cong - Chairman of VCCI cease to hold the position of Chairman of VCCI, cease to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, term VII, 2021-2026.
Elected comrade Ho Sy Hung - Secretary of the VCCI Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term to join the Executive Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the VCCI, term VII, 2021-2026.
Speaking in his new position, the new VCCI Chairman - Ho Sy Hung expressed his respect and gratitude to the leaders, former leaders and VCCI Executive Committee through the periods, including Comrade Pham Tan Cong in his position as Party Secretary and Chairman of VCCI, with his enthusiasm, intelligence and sense of responsibility, and the efforts and efforts of the Party Committee, staff and employees of VCCI over the past 62 years, contributing significantly to the development of the business community, building the stature, position and prestige of VCCI today.

VCCI has been recognized by the Party and State with the Ho Chi Minh Medal, the First Class Independence Medal, the First Class Labor Medal and many other noble awards, trusted by the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs, and is a major and prestigious partner of the international business community.
However, we also see that on the unprecedented path, without a pre-determined model, in the context of economic transformation, in the face of increasingly high requirements of the Party, State and business community, VCCI still has a lot of work to do with opportunities, fortunes mixed with difficulties and challenges ahead.
As a central mass organization established by the Party and the State and assigned tasks and tasks, a national organization representing the business community, the business community, employers and business associations in Vietnam, VCCI continues to carry on its main mission of building a team of aspirational and national- spirited enterprises and entrepreneurs with sufficient capacity, bravery and intelligence to build a strong and prosperous country for the happiness of the people; support the development of a highly competitive business force based on innovation and application of industrial science, firmly integrating to the world, participating deeply in the global value chain.

Accordingly, VCCI and its business team must coordinate, cooperate, and closely connect with management agencies at all levels, contributing to the process of innovating management mechanisms, pioneering in new, key areas, and opening up new potential markets. This is also the process of removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, a process of supporting and backing businesses to grow, competitive both domestically, regionally and internationally, Chairman Ho Sy Hung expressed.
Chairman Ho Sy Hung said that the development of the country according to the orientation and direction of the Party and State is also the development of the Vietnamese business community and business community. The goal of rapid growth, reaching 2 digits is also the goal that each enterprise will reach in the new era.
