Assessment and forecast
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), in the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 206,427 tons of pepper of all kinds, equivalent to a revenue of 1.39 billion USD, down 5.9% in volume but up 25.4% in turnover compared to the same period last year.
Thanks to high prices and in-depth processing efforts by enterprises, the export value of pepper prices still maintains a strong growth rate despite a decrease in sales output.
Although there are still 2 months left until the end of 2025, pepper exports have reached 1.4 billion USD, surpassing the 1.3 billion USD mark achieved in the whole year of 2024. This figure is also nearly equal to the export turnover of the whole year of 2016 (nearly 1.43 billion USD), which is considered the highest year in the history of the pepper industry.
