Assessments and forecasts
According to preliminary statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Plant Association (VPSA), in May 2026, Vietnam imported 8,745 tons of pepper, with a turnover of 49.8 million USD, an increase of 7.4% in volume and 6% in value compared to April 2026 and an increase of 22.2% in volume compared to the same period in May 2025.
According to export businesses, the market is currently relatively stable as domestic supply is no longer abundant after the main harvest. Reduced inventory helps pepper prices maintain at a high level even though the international market has not seen sudden supporting factors.
