Domestic pepper prices: fluctuations in Dak Lak province
As of 11:30 today (7.8), the domestic pepper market is stable in most areas, except Dak Lak province. Currently, the price ranges from 139,000 - 141,000 VND/kg.
Listing prices at 139,000 VND/kg are Gia Lai, Dong Nai provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.
Lam Dong province still maintains the price of 140,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous trading session.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak is the only province that fluctuated this week when it continued to increase by 1,000 VND/kg, currently reaching 141,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Maintain the increase
In the world market, pepper prices unexpectedly continued to have positive developments. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets after a day of hoarding - increased its price by 0.06% and 0.05%, respectively. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,112 - 9,942 USD/ton (equivalent to 187,900 VND/kg - 262,668 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market remains unchanged, with the trading price remaining unchanged at 6,000 USD/ton (about 158,520 VND/kg). Malaysia's black and white stocks remain at 11,750 USD/ton and 8,900 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l after a surprising increase, is currently anchored at 6,240 - 6,370 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remained at 8,950 USD/ton (equivalent to 236,459 VND/kg).
