On August 7, 2025, Petrolimex officially adjusted gasoline prices, accordingly the new prices are as follows:
According to Petrolimex, the price of E10 RON95-III gasoline in the adjustment session on August 7, 2024 increased by 110-120 VND/liter.
- E10 RON95-III gasoline price in region 1 is priced at VND19,830/liter (up VND230/liter).
- E10 RON95-III gasoline price in region 2 is priced at VND20,220/liter (up VND230/liter).
This petrolimex price is applied at Petrolimex's distribution system in Vietnam; including: Petrolimex petroleum stores and Petrolimex's small-scale petroleum equipment points of sale; Petrolimex's petroleum agents and general petroleum agents and Petrolimex's retailers receiving commercial rights under the form of a commercial franchise from Petrolimex.
In the previous adjustment session (July 31, 2025), Petrolimex adjusted gasoline prices as follows:
Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) has piloted the business of E10 biofuel (E10 gasoline) from August 1, 2025 at stores in Ho Chi Minh City (before the merger) to assess the market and practical implementation capabilities.
In Clause 2, Article 3 of Decision 53/2012/QD-TTg in 2012, the mixture of leadless gasoline and ethanol fuel with a ethanol content of 9% to 10% by volume is called E10 gasoline (also known as E10 biofuel).
Accordingly, biofuel is a mixture of traditional gasoline and bioethanol used for internal combustion gasoline engines such as cars and motorbikes. The main ingredient for biological alcohol production in Vietnam is currently dried cassava.
Biolaxels in biofuel mixtures are used as an oxygen substitute for compounds previously mixed into gasoline such as lead or ete. Biological alcohols are produced from the fermentation of starch, sugar honey and other agricultural waste.
