Afternoon 10.8, the Khánh Sơn District People's Committee organized a fruit contest, an art display of fruit, and traditional handicraft products. The program was part of the activities at the Khánh Sơn Fruit Festival III in 2024 (held from August 10 to 13).
At the program, 8 communes and towns on the district's territory have brought to the contest many types of delicious fruit from their localities such as Dona durian (Monthong durian), Ri6 durian, green pomelo, mangosteen, Thai chôm chôm, dạ hương banana, purple sugarcane, quets, and jackfruit.
Furthermore, tourists attending the Khánh Sơn Fruit Festival were amazed when they saw the special fruits of Khánh Sơn, such as: Ri6 durian and Dona durian weighing over 5kg per fruit, or giant pomelos weighing over 2.5kg per fruit.
In addition, localities in the district also brought many "artworks" created from their delicious fruits to display at the contest. At this contest, many traditional handicraft products of Khánh Sơn District, such as baskets, bows, chapi flutes, and rice wine, were also introduced to distant tourists.
According to the festival's organizing committee, the purpose of this contest is to help farmers from 8 communes and towns on the district's territory introduce their representative types of delicious fruit and encourage farmers to plant and apply scientific and technological advancements in the production process to create high-quality fruit products to meet market demand.
