On the morning of June 26, Steering Committee 389 of Nghe An province coordinated with the Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Association (VACIP) to organize a professional training conference on intellectual property rights enforcement and guidance on distinguishing counterfeit intellectual property goods in 2026.
The conference was attended by representatives of departments, branches, functional forces, Steering Committee 389 of 130 communes and wards; leaders and civil servants of Nghe An Market Management Sub-Department; experts and reporters of VACIP, along with representatives of many domestic and foreign businesses and trademark owners.
Speaking at the opening, Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Deputy Head of Steering Committee 389 of the province, Director of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade - said that the conference aims to implement the Prime Minister's direction on fighting, preventing, and handling acts of infringing intellectual property rights, and at the same time deploying the training and fostering plan for cadres, civil servants, and public employees in 2026 of the province.

According to Mr. Hoa, in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration, intellectual property rights are playing an increasingly important role in improving business competitiveness, protecting consumer rights and promoting innovation.
However, the situation of production and trading of counterfeit goods, counterfeit trademarks, and intellectual property rights infringement is still complicated, with many sophisticated methods and tricks, especially in the e-commerce and digital platform environment.
The violations not only cause damage to businesses, affect a healthy investment and business environment, but also directly affect the health and rights of consumers, causing revenue loss to the state budget.

In Nghe An, the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property rights infringement is identified as a key and regular task. Over the past time, functional forces have strengthened inspection, detection and handling of violations.
In the training program, delegates were introduced by VACIP representatives to proactive skills in enforcing intellectual property rights; participated in thematic sessions guiding the identification of genuine and fake goods of many famous brands such as INAX, LVMH, Bath & Body Works, Amorepacific, MLB, Red Bull, Unilever...
In addition to the theory part, delegates also directly visited and compared real and fake goods samples; exchanged situations arising during market inspection and control and handling of violations.
