According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper at 7 pm on February 13 (ie December 26), at Tasco Mall Long Bien shopping center (Hanoi), people flocked to shop for Tet, making this area crowded and bustling. The stalls of fresh food, cakes, jams, soft drinks, beer, Tet gift baskets and small household appliances are almost always packed.

In the vegetable and meat and fish areas, many best-selling items are continuously added to the shelves by staff. Many customers have to wait to finish choosing products because the walkway is "stuck" by carts.
Mr. Do Van Linh (Vinh Thanh commune, Hanoi) - who is queuing to pay with carts full of goods - shared: "In previous days, I was busy with year-end work so I didn't have time to shop. Tonight, I took advantage of going out once to finish. Compared to last week, it's much more crowded, the waiting time is quite long but the goods are plentiful, there are many discount programs".
Also waiting for her turn to pay, Ms. Le Thi Thu Trang (Bo De ward, Hanoi) said: "Every year, my family and I go to the supermarket around the 26th - 27th of Tet because at this time many items are deeply discounted. Although crowded, it feels very excited, true to the upcoming Tet atmosphere. I bought more decorations and some snacks for the whole family.

Besides families and workers, many young people also take advantage of shopping after the last working hours of the year. Ms. Nguyen Mai Hoang Oanh (24 years old) - an office worker living in Long Bien ward - said that she just left work and immediately went to the supermarket.
Ms. Oanh shared that this year, she has more than 10 days off, so she is quite comfortable with time. "I think tonight will be quieter because many people have returned to their hometowns from today. But when I arrived, I saw that the supermarket was always crowded, even parking had to wait. However, the atmosphere was very cheerful, seeing everyone busy preparing for Tet, I also felt more excited" - Ms. Oanh shared.

Mr. Do Van Kien (from Lang Son, currently living in Viet Hung ward, Hanoi) said that the evening of the 26th Tet is also his last working session before the holiday. According to the plan, early the next morning he will get on the bus to return to his hometown to be able to celebrate Tet with his family.
Mr. Kien shared that initially he thought that at this time the supermarket would be less crowded because many people had rushed home early.
I thought tonight would be quieter, but unexpectedly it was still crowded with people, queuing to pay for quite a long time. But near Tet, this crowded scene is also difficult to avoid" - he said.
Taking advantage of after work hours, he buys more cakes, candies, tea and some specialties as gifts for relatives. "I only have the opportunity to go home once a year, so I want to prepare carefully. Although a bit crowded, looking at everyone busily shopping, I feel the Tet atmosphere is clearer and more bustling" - Mr. Kien expressed.
