On February 3, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee reported that Tet shopping activities were bustling.
According to a survey by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, large enterprises have proactively stockpiled goods with a total value of nearly 507.6 billion VND. Goods are abundant, meeting people's needs well, without shortages or price increases, ensuring a stable market.
People prefer to shop at supermarkets and shopping malls to ensure food safety and clear origin. In general, prices of consumer goods during Tet this year are relatively stable.
According to reports from Go Buon Ma Thuot Supermarket and Co.opmart Buon Ma Thuot Supermarket, average daily revenue during Tet (from the 26th of the lunar calendar) reached about 4 billion VND/day.
Some other supermarkets in the area have average daily revenue of 800 million to 1 billion VND.
Mr. Luu Van Khoi, Director of Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade, said that commercial activities during the Lunar New Year were very vibrant. Purchasing power increased by 10-15% compared to last year.
The main reasons are bumper crops, high agricultural prices, and increased incomes. Purchasing power has improved from urban to remote areas.
