On the afternoon of June 6 (local time) in Washington D.C., Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy chaired the signing of a MOU between Vietnamese enterprises and US partners with a total value of up to 1.1 billion USD. Along with previous signings in Iowa, Ohio and Maryland, the total value of US agricultural import agreements reached nearly 3 billion USD.

The most prominent of these is a deal worth 380 million USD, committed to importing 1.2 million tons of grains including corn, wheat and soy flour for the production of animal feed.
In addition, 7 other memorandums of understanding were also signed with major partners and Vietnamese enterprises in the field of food and wood furniture. These agreements not only boost two-way trade turnover, but also contribute to bringing US agricultural products deeper into Vietnam's supply chain.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Do Duc Duy emphasized that the working trip is a clear demonstration of the active partnership between the two countries, while opening a promising door for cooperation between the two complementary economies.
Within the framework of the signing ceremony, Minister Do Duc Duy discussed with USABC about cooperation in realizing Vietnam's Net Zero goal. Here, US businesses exchanged initiatives, ideas and expectations for cooperation with Vietnam in technology transfer and green production.
