Information from the Hanoi Market Management Department (QLTT), on October 9, Market Management Team No. 22 under the Hanoi Market Management Department inspected two food businesses in Phu Thuong and Phu Dien wards.
The inspection results showed that both establishments had serious violations in business activities, related to not registering business in accordance with regulations and trading in smuggled goods.
Accordingly, at Ling Ling snack business household (address 12, alley 353/38/21 An Duong Vuong street, Phu Thuong ward, Hanoi), the owner did not register to change the content of the Business Registration Certificate according to regulations.
At the time of inspection, this facility was still trading 125 units of smuggled frozen food products, without legal invoices or documents. The total value of the infringing goods was determined to be 36.25 million VND. The authorities have drawn up a record of an administrative fine of 37.5 million VND and forced the destruction of all violating goods.
Next, at Truong Nam Food Company Limited (address 39, group 20, Phu Dien ward, Hanoi), the inspection team discovered that the enterprise was selling 67 products that were smuggled food, without invoices or documents proving legal origin.
The total value of the infringing goods was VND 22.945 million. The authorities have administratively fined the company 32 million VND and required the destruction of the violating goods in accordance with the provisions of law.
Thus, in total, the two businesses were fined VND 69.5 million. All violating goods with a total value of VND59.195 million were forced to be destroyed to ensure the safety of consumers and prevent the risk of food of unknown origin circulating on the market.

Deputy Head of the Hanoi Market Management Department Duong Manh Hung said that checking and strictly handling acts of smuggling food business is a necessary measure to protect consumer rights and maintain order in commercial activities.
Market Management will continue to strengthen inspection and supervision, especially at the end of the year, when consumer demand increases, to promptly detect and prevent violations of the law.
