On the afternoon of July 25, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held a conference to review the first 6 months of the year, and at the same time resolutely implemented the tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang attended and directed the Conference.
With the policy of taking action motto "discipline responsibility, proactively be timely, streamline efficiency, accelerate breakthroughs", the entire agricultural and environmental sector has entered 2025 with a new spirit and high determination. In the first 6 months of the year, the industry recorded positive growth figures, making an important contribution to the country's economy and making efforts to improve the investment and business environment.

According to the report, the growth rate of added value of the entire agricultural, forestry and fishery sector reached 3.84% over the same period in 2024, achieving the growth target for the first 6 months of the year. Export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products reached 33.84 billion USD, up 15.5% over the same period.
Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien said that from the first days of the year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has quickly implemented the directives and implementations of the Government and the Prime Minister. The Ministry's action program focuses on synchronizing tasks and solutions in all areas, from stabilizing the apparatus after the reorganization to proactively responding to policies in response to domestic and international fluctuations.
The Ministry has decentralized 489/630 administrative procedures to localities, equivalent to 77.62%. At the same time, the fields of agricultural, forestry and fishery production have developed stably, ensuring food security, meeting consumption and export needs. Environmental protection and climate change response work has been implemented synchronously.
In the last 6 months of the year, the whole industry aims to complete the growth plan and import-export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in 2025. In particular, focusing on agricultural restructuring associated with transforming the growth model, developing high-quality rice, specialties, promoting value chain linkages.

Strengthen trade promotion towards expanding the Halal market, the Middle East, the Americas... Along with that, support localities to connect agricultural product consumption to the harvest through modern distribution channels and e-commerce platforms.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment also closely monitors the developments of the US imposing countervailing taxes on Vietnamese goods, developing scenarios and flexible response solutions.
Based on the results of the first 6 months of the year, the Ministry is updating the growth scenario for the third quarter, fourth quarter and the last 6 months of the year, in which it proposes breakthrough, feasible and effective solutions. At the same time, prepare a growth scenario for the 2026-2030 period.
