According to Chinese state media, President Xi Jinping told President Joe Biden that both the US and China are responsible for ensuring peace.

The statement about the talks between Joe Biden and Xi Jinping released by the White House on the website also confirmed the talks focused on Russia's military campaign in Ukraine.

President Joe Biden has expressed the views of the United States and its allies and partners on this crisis. Mr. Biden detailed the US efforts to prevent and respond to the war in Ukraine, including sanctions against Russia.
