Military Region 9 receives the First-class Fatherland Protection Order
On December 30, 2025, the Party Committee and the Command of Military Region 9 organized a ceremony to receive the First-class Fatherland Protection Order.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - awarded the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to the armed forces of Military Region 9.
Armed forces of Military Region 7 receive the First-class Fatherland Protection Order
On December 28, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Military Region 7 Command organized the 2025 Military-Political Conference, summarizing the implementation of military and defense tasks in 2025, deploying directions and tasks for 2026 and receiving the First-class Fatherland Protection Order.
On this occasion, the President awarded the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to the armed forces of Military Region 7; awarded the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to 5 individuals; the Prime Minister awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals; the Ministry of National Defense awarded the Emulation Flag of Determined Victory to 17 collectives of the armed forces of Military Region 7 for their outstanding achievements in performing military and defense tasks in 2025.
Authorized by the President, General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Minister of National Defense - awarded the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to the armed forces of Military Region 7; awarded the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order of the President to individuals belonging to the armed forces of Military Region 7.
General Le Van Dung was awarded the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces
On December 26, 2025, the President signed a Decision to confer the noble title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" on General Le Van Dung - former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
This is a special recognition of the Party and State for the great, persistent and outstanding contributions of the comrade in the cause of national liberation struggle, construction and defense of the Fatherland.
