According to information from the Ministry of National Defense's Electronic Information Portal, this agency is posting to collect public opinions and officers and soldiers on cases that have been commended.
This is implemented according to Clause 2, Article 46 of Decree No. 98/2023/ND-CP dated December 31, 2023 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation.
Accordingly, 14 collectives and 1 individual are considered for the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal.
That individual is Major General Le Quang Tri, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175.
Along with that, 14 groups were considered for the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal, including: Department of War, General Staff; Department of Politics, Military Region 1; Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command, Military Region 4, Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, Military Region 7;
Infantry Division 9, Army Corps 34; Brigade 513, Military Region 3; Brigade 131, Navy; Brigade 229, Engineering Corps; Military Ceremonial Corps, General Staff; National Shooting range 1, Military Region 1;
Thanh Tri District Military Command, Hanoi Capital Command; Military School, Military Region 7; Military Court, Military Region 3; Political Department, Political Officers School.

According to Article 46 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022, the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal is awarded or posthumously awarded to individuals in the People's Armed Forces who comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and meet one of the accompanying standards.
The Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal is awarded to a group of people in the armed forces with internal solidarity, clean and strong party and mass organizations, good compliance with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and meeting one of the accompanying standards.
