Military sends 2 more officers to participate in United Nations peacekeeping
On March 27, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to award the President's Decision and the Minister of National Defense's Decision to 2 officers enlisting for duty at the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Abyei (UNISFA) and the Training Mission of the European Union.
At the ceremony, the Ministry of National Defense announced and awarded the Decision of the President, the Decision of the Minister of National Defense to appoint Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Linh and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thai Son to participate in peacekeeping missions.
In which, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Linh held the position of Joint Military Operations Officer (SO JMOC) at the UNISFA Mission, Abyei region; this is a new position that the United Nations invited Vietnam to participate in for the first time, showing confidence and appreciation for the capacity of the Vietnamese peacekeeping force.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thai Son holds the position of Advisory Officer and Training Coordinator at the Training Mission of the European Union in the Central African Republic.

2 Senior Lieutenant Colonels, 1 Lieutenant Colonel assigned the task of Deputy Attaché de la Défense
On March 26, in Hanoi, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command organized a Conference to award Decisions and assign tasks to Deputy Attached Defense, in charge of the Border Guard field in China, Laos, and Cambodia.
At the conference, Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command, presented the Decisions on appointment of personnel:
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Duong Khanh Thanh - Deputy Vietnamese Defense Attaché in China, in charge of the Border Guard sector;
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Tri Thien - Deputy Vietnamese Defense Attaché in Laos, in charge of the Border Guard sector;
Lieutenant Colonel Le Dang - Deputy Attaché de la Défense du Vietnam au Cambodge, in charge of the Border Guard sector.

Tay Ninh: Appointing deputy commander, deputy political commissar of commune-level Military Command
On March 24, the Standing Committee of the Military Party Committee of Tay Ninh province held a conference to announce and award decisions to appoint deputy commander, deputy political commissar and promote military ranks for reserve officers called to serve in active duty at the Military Command (CHQS) at commune level.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Military Party Committee awarded decisions to transfer and appoint 46 deputy commanders and deputy political commissars to work at the commune-level Military Command; and at the same time promoted military ranks for 148 reserve officers called to serve in the army at the commune-level Military Command.
