The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Vice President, along with leaders of central ministries, branches and Military Region 5, delegates of the Southern Student Communications Commission to gather in the North and provinces and cities.
At the ceremony, the Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the 300 -day event of transferring troops gathered to the North in Quy Nhon was forever pride, a source of power to encourage the whole Party, the entire people and the whole province to firmly step in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

"70 years have passed, but this event still retains its historical value, which is a precious lesson in patriotism, solidarity, and determination of our army and people for the cause of national liberation.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of the Propaganda Department and the Central Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia sent an intimate visit to the families and relatives of millions of compatriots, officials and soldiers of the two South - North, who contributed blood, human strength and strength to create the success of the transfer of the people, officials, soldiers and students of the South gathered to the North - the event of the Vietnamese revolutionary history.
"70 years have passed, which is also the year that the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh have made efforts to build and develop their home province. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I warmly commend and congratulate the outstanding results and achievements that the province has achieved over the past period.
I suggest that the Party Committee, government, people of Binh Dinh province and the provinces in the former Inter-zone V continue to further strengthen cooperation, close and effective cooperation. Present at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Minh (73 years old, in Hanoi) emotionally shared: "At that time, I was only 3 years old, and my father took a Polish train from Quy Nhon port to gather in the North. That year, when I went to Sam Son with my father, I fell seriously ill and was transferred to a hospital in Thanh Hoa for treatment. After that, I was raised in the loving arms of the people of the North. 70 years have passed, looking back at that difficult and chaotic time, I am extremely grateful to the Party, the State and Uncle Ho. Today, sitting here, I still can't hold back my tears".
On this occasion, Binh Dinh province received the certificate of Quy Nhon Port National Monument - Location of 300 days of troop conversion to the North (1954 - 1955).
