On the morning of May 6th (local time), the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation was solemnly held at the Presidential Palace of India. Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi co-chaired the welcoming ceremony.
Attending the welcoming ceremony were many senior Indian officials and members of the high-level Vietnamese delegation on state visits to the Republic of India.

The cavalry escorted the car of General Secretary and President To Lam into the Presidential Palace amidst the sound of 21 rounds of welcome cannons.

When General Secretary and President To Lam stepped onto the podium of honor, under the Vietnamese and Indian national flags, the national anthems of the two countries were played by the Army Band. The captain of the Indian Army Honor Team reported to General Secretary and President To Lam and the Honor Team paraded through the podium of honor.
After the parade, Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with General Secretary and President To Lam, introduced each other to the delegation attending the welcoming ceremony.

At the end of the welcoming ceremony, Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited General Secretary and President To Lam to take photos with Indian students and people.
This State visit by General Secretary and President To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation to India is also a clear demonstration of the foreign policy of our Party and State in the new era that the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress has set out. That is independence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, peace, friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization, diversification of foreign relations, and being a responsible member of the international community.
