The document stated that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully submitted to the Provincial People's Council the dismissal, removal and election of additional members of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, term XIX, 2021-2026, specifically as follows:
1. Dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Trong Tan, former Provincial Party Committee member, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs; reason: retirement with social insurance benefits.
2. Dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Kim Thoai, former Director of the Department of Finance; reason: violation of the law.
3. Elect additional Members of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, term XIX, 2021-2026 for:
- Mr. Le Hong Phuc, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of Department of Home Affairs;
- Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Director of Department of Finance.
It is known that the above content has also been approved by the People's Council of Bac Ninh province.
Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on July 20, Bac Ninh Provincial Police said that the Provincial Police Investigation Agency had issued a decision to prosecute the accused, ordered a search of his residence and workplace, and applied preventive measures to prohibit him from leaving his place of residence against Mr. Nguyen Kim Thoai for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 356 of the 2015 Penal Code.
For the same crime, authorities also prosecuted Nguyen Xuan Trung (41 years old), Nguyen Xuan Nghi (72 years old) and Nguyen Quang Kien (45 years old, all from Gia Binh town, Gia Binh district).
Mr. Nguyen Kim Thoai, 61 years old, was Secretary and Chairman of Gia Binh District People's Committee before working at Bac Ninh Department of Finance.
Regarding the case, Bac Ninh Provincial Police said that previously, the investigation agency had prosecuted 11 other defendants for the crime of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties".
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Ninh Provincial Police is continuing to investigate in accordance with the provisions of law.
