The Conference was chaired by comrades: Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission; Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Commission; Nguyen Duy Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of the agency, Deputy Head of the Commission; Nguyen Hong Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the agency, Deputy Head of the Commission.
Attending the Conference were comrade Do Viet Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies; comrades representing a number of Central Party agencies; and all cadres, civil servants and employees of the Central Economic Commission.
As the Party's strategic advisory body on socio-economics, in addition to organizing and implementing the key work plan for 2024, the Central Economic Committee has focused on implementing assigned tasks to promptly advise and propose to the Politburo and the Secretariat policies and orientations to serve the direction and management of socio-economic development.
The Committee has completed 5 projects submitted to the Politburo and 2 projects submitted to the Secretariat, including the project "Building a resolution of the Politburo on national digital transformation".
After consideration, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Project "Summary of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 30-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2014 and Conclusion No. 82-KL/TW, dated July 29, 2020 of the Politburo on continuing to arrange, innovate and develop, and improve the operational efficiency of agricultural and forestry companies".
After consideration, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 103-KL/TW, dated December 2, 2024, on continuing to implement Resolution 30-NQ/TW, dated March 12, 2014...
In general, the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat issued by the Central Economic Commission in 2024 have inherited and developed the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines on socio-economic development over the periods, while also having new points suitable to the context and situation of the country in the current period; these are extremely important documents to concretize and organize the implementation of the Party's major viewpoints and orientations on socio-economic development set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
In 2025, with a positive and proactive spirit, closely following the functions, tasks and directions of the General Secretary, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Economic Commission will focus on perfecting the functions, tasks, and organization of the Commission in a streamlined manner, and improving effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring to meet new requirements in strategic advisory work with the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on policies and strategies for the country's socio-economic development.
Focus on synchronously implementing the assigned professional tasks. Coordinate effectively with relevant agencies, provincial and municipal Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee in the process of giving opinions on the drafting of Party Congress documents at all levels and the drafting of the 14th National Party Congress documents.
Speaking at the Conference, comrade Do Viet Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc, highly appreciated the achievements of the Board in 2024 in the urgent context of streamlining the apparatus.
Agreeing with the 2024 summary reports of the Committee, comrade Do Viet Ha suggested that the Central Economic Committee pay attention to a number of issues such as: perfecting the organizational apparatus, implementing digital transformation in Party building, focusing on inspection and supervision work, etc.
Speaking at the Conference, comrade Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Economic Commission, acknowledged and commended the results of the Commission's work in the past year, stating a number of important points that the Central Economic Commission had achieved in the past year such as: completing tasks at a good level, well-prepared plans; there were positive changes and transformations in the agency's activities and in the awareness of the Commission's cadres and civil servants...
Besides the good results, the Board also has some limitations that need to be overcome such as: coordination between departments is not as required, working methods are slow to innovate, enthusiasm in work is not clear... He emphasized that the Board needs to clearly analyze the achievements as well as limitations, shortcomings, objective and subjective causes to perform tasks better in the coming time.
