On April 28, in Manila (Philippines), Nhan Dan Newspaper was honored to receive 2 awards at the Asian Digital Media Award awarded by the World News Publishers Association (WAN-IFRA), in the categories of Best Marketing Campaign for a News Brand for the art political program Fatherland in the heart and Most Innovative Digital Product for the work Independent Journey.
The award was presented within the framework of the Asian Digital Press Conference, gathering leading media agencies in the continent and the world. Nhan Dan Newspaper is among the few press agencies to win 2 or more awards, alongside other international press agencies such as Singapore Press Holding, Seoul Economic Daily, Channel News Asia or United Daily News Group.
In addition to professional factors and technological content, the international jury including reputable journalists also highly appreciates the creativity as well as the spread of the works.
Before winning the WAN-IFRA award, the "national concert" Fatherland in the Heart won a series of prestigious domestic awards, such as the award of the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Mai Vang Award or most recently the Cong Hien Award voted by journalists. Not only politically-artistic, Fatherland in the Heart is considered by experts as a typical example of a press-media agency approaching the public through community activities or event organization.
The program "Fatherland in My Heart" gathered up to 50,000 spectators at My Dinh Stadium, in which the moment the whole stadium harmonized in singing the national anthem, or the military parade of Vietnamese People's Army soldiers became a memorable highlight. The musical film "Fatherland in My Heart" then continued to "cause a fever" at cinemas as well as UniTour activities at universities, contributing to spreading positive energy and patriotism to young audiences.
Meanwhile, "Journey to Independence", a derivative digital product of the Supplement commemorating the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is highly appreciated for combining political content (Uncle Ho's journey since he directly led the Vietnamese Revolution in 1941 to the time of reading the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945) with technological elements such as AR (enhanced virtual reality), VR (virtual reality) or interaction...
This is a novel and creative storytelling method in the digital age to educate and attract young readers to pay attention to the country's important historical events.
National Concert" Fatherland in the Heart and the digital work Independent Journey are both part of the communication campaign to celebrate the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, including exhibitions at Nhan Dan Newspaper and the National Exhibition Center, including the activity of distributing 1 million supplements to readers nationwide.
With being honored at Digital Media Award Asia, the program Fatherland in the Heart and Independent Journey has also reached the final round at the WAN-IFRA Global Press Awards held in Marseille (France) in June 2026.
The two awards mentioned above have helped Nhan Dan Newspaper win a total of 4 international press awards. Previously, in 2024, Nhan Dan Newspaper won the Gold Award, Best Marketing Strategy category at the Asian Media Award for the propaganda campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the Sustainability and Print Innovation Awards 2024 for the Panorama Dien Bien Phu supplement, both organized by WAN-IFRA.
