Good Morning Vietnam is an international music project with many meanings initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam when not only bringing top international music to Vietnam but also through it to promote Vietnamese culture and tourism, first of all in combination with filming music videos (MVs) to promote tourism, and at the same time dedicating profits to charity and social service activities.
In October 2025, Secret Garden's music echoed at the National Convention Center, bringing more than 3,000 Vietnamese audiences into a "garden" of music and emotions for nearly two hours. In its first performance in Vietnam, Secret Garden introduced more than 20 typical songs, marking the group's 30-year journey. Applause continuously echoed in the auditorium as Vietnamese traditional culture and scenery blended into world-famous songs.
Right after two nights of performances in Hanoi, the legendary duo Secret Garden visited Ninh Binh land and filmed the MV "Song From A Secret Garden - Secret Garden in Vietnam". Set in Ninh Binh, a land of Vietnamese heritage, the MV opens up a journey through Trang An, Cuc Phuong forest, Bich Dong Pagoda... like a harmony between nature and musical aesthetics with the mythological nuances of Secret Garden. Without dialogue, just with images and melodies, the story in the MV "Secret Garden in Vietnam" leads viewers following the footsteps of two artists stepping out of their own inner "garden", to then find harmony between people and nature, between soul and magnificent Ninh Binh scenery.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that he was extremely touched when watching the final draft of the MV "Song From A Secret Garden - Secret Garden in Vietnam". This is not the first time Nhan Dan Newspaper has released a tourism promotion MV. In the first time, Nhan Dan Newspaper invited artist Kenny G, there was a very beautiful MV about Hanoi, then "Bond in Vietnam in Ha Long" in a very different, warm and vibrant style.
In this MV production, we also announced the location as Ninh Binh, a place with extremely wonderful scenery chosen to combine with Secret Garden's music. Outside, we have seen Ninh Binh with its majestic mountains, but in this MV alone, it will have a very different beauty" - Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh said.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Good Morning Vietnam program has gone through 3 seasons and the unique point of the project is that after each performance, a music video promoting local tourism is produced. Although there is previous experience, all preparations are carried out meticulously, but the production crew cannot avoid worrying, because besides that, there are many influences from objective factors.
We expect that, with the efforts of Nhan Dan Newspaper and the companionship of units, along with the presentation of MVs to airlines, service businesses, and travel agencies, images of a majestic Ninh Binh will appear on flights, in hotels, and restaurants across the country," Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh added.

According to Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vietnam possesses many scenic spots, but some destinations have not been widely introduced to international friends. Mr. Tran Song Tung hopes that, through this MV, Ninh Binh, a land of outstanding people, possessing many valuable cultural and historical heritages and rich natural landscapes, will be introduced more widely.
Sharing immediately after completing the recording, the duo of Secret Garden expressed their emotion at the majestic and inspiring natural beauty of Ninh Binh. According to artist Fionnuala Sherry, performing in a natural space instead of in an auditorium brings a special feeling, where music and scenery seem to blend together, creating a complete emotional circle. Agreeing with this view, artist Rolf Løvland added: "Secret Garden's music and nature in Ninh Binh resonate very naturally. Surrounded by the beauty and strength of nature here, and for nature to become a part of music, it is a truly beautiful experience for us.
The two members affirmed that this is an unforgettable memory in their performance journey in Vietnam, and thanked Nhan Dan Newspaper, IB Group Vietnam and the Good Morning Vietnam project for being a bridge for the group to experience, create and spread music in a heritage space rich in cultural and human values.
Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam, Production Director of the MV shared: "If 'Bond in Vietnam' focuses on filming at sea locations in Ha Long Bay, then Secret Garden in Vietnam' poses a bigger challenge when filming on many different terrains in just one filming session. From the sacred space of Bich Dong Pagoda, Cuc Phuong primeval forest with constantly changing lighting conditions, to the Thuy Dinh-Trang An river, each setting is calculated separately in terms of technique and storytelling, so that it is both suitable for the space and maintains a unified emotional flow for the entire MV".
At the launching ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh presented the MV "Song From A Secret Garden–Secret Garden in Vietnam" to leaders of Ninh Binh province, tourism-hotel corporations, airlines, television stations... to spread this special music product, contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism to domestic and international tourists.
Answering press interviews about the difficulties in making the MV, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh said that inviting international artists to perform in Vietnam is very difficult and challenging.
First of all, they must match their tour schedule to reduce costs, if they only come to Vietnam to perform, it will be extremely expensive. "Luckily, last year we invited Secret Garden right on their 30th anniversary of their career tour" - The Editor-in-Chief shared.
Second, it is necessary to ensure absolute safety for the artist's musical instruments, especially the artist's very valuable piano, in the context that it is also necessary to ensure the conservation of the natural environment at the filming locations.
We have convinced international artists because of the noble purpose of the Good Morning Vietnam project, when all profits from tickets are for charity. The artists are very happy and excited to participate not only performing but also filming MVs, a very costly task if done separately" - Editor-in-Chief said.

Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam, said: "Each MV released under the Good Morning Vietnam project is associated with a destination with depth in culture and history. With Secret Garden, we chose Ninh Binh as the setting for the MV. Because Ninh Binh has both mountains, forests, rivers, streams and beautiful landscapes bestowed by nature.
Another difficulty for the crew since the survey is that there are too many beautiful locations to choose for filming. “We have 1 day to take the artists to Ninh Binh to film, but everywhere is beautiful, which also makes the crew want to film. During that process, we also have to ensure the preservation of heritage and environment during the production setting,” Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong added.
