On April 27, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, the leader of the Vietnam Military History Museum said that the Museum will exempt fees from visitors during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the implementation period will be for 5 days, from April 30 to May 4.
This is one of the practical activities of the Vietnam Military History Museum on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), in order to contribute to the gratitude to the merits and great contributions of generations of cadres, soldiers and heroic martyrs who dedicated and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the country.
"Through this activity, it contributes to spreading the meaning of the Southern Liberation Day, unifying the country to the people and international friends who come to visit the Vietnam Military History Museum on this occasion" - said the museum leader.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Military History Museum in collaboration with the State Book and Archives Department, the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel), and the Military Library organized the exhibition "The Legend of the Spring of Victory".
The exhibition introduces nearly 300 images, documents, and artifacts including 3 main contents.
Part 1 - From Geneva Conference to Paris Conference: General presentation of the signing process of the Geneva Agreement in 1954 affirming the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Vietnam until the Paris Conference on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam signed on January 27, 1973, contributing to the great victory of the spring 1975.
Part 2 - The Great Spring Victory of 1975: Introduce typical campaigns in the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign; contributing to the complete liberation of the South and national reunification.
Part 3 - The echo of the great spring: displaying important achievements, creating many outstanding imprints of the entire Party, the entire people and the whole army after 50 years of liberation of the South, reuniting the country and nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration; Continuing to promote the spirit of great victory in the spring of 1975 in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The Vietnam Military History Museum was newly built by the Ministry of National Defense in the area of Tay Mo and Dai Mo wards, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi since 2019, on an area of 386,600m2.
The museum currently holds more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures and many valuable artifacts.
The museum applies many new display methods, combined with 3D mapping tabletop technologies; information lookup display device, photo media, automatic Audioguide explanation and QR code to look up information about artifacts, images and more than 60 video clips introducing the campaign, battles and historical figures to bring visitors a completely new experience.
