On March 27, Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central mass organizations and the Party Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association organized the Conference "Improving the quality of political theory, professional knowledge, digital skills associated with the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation".
Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Association, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - summarized some key contents that the conference had agreed upon.
That is the harmony between bravery and technology. The conference clarified a truth: technology is just a tool, and political bravery is the guiding principle. In the context of hostile forces maximizing artificial intelligence and big data to distort, revolutionary journalists are not only simply skilled in the profession. We must possess a solid theoretical foundation to identify the nature of the matter, even if it is hidden under the sophisticated cover of technology.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh also emphasized that digital transformation is no longer an option, but a front. In 2026, we witnessed the explosion of new multimedia platforms. Digital skills, from the application of AI in information verification to the production of interactive content, have been discussed very deeply at the conference.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh suggested that press agencies after this conference need to digitize processes, apply modern management tools to increase predictability and quick response to bad and toxic information flows. It is necessary to create content, turn dry resolutions and theories into modern journalistic products, easy to access, touching the emotions of young readers in cyberspace.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, protecting the Party's ideological foundation is a permanent task. We do not wait until there are fake news to refute. Protecting the Party must go hand in hand with building trust. The press must use beauty to eliminate ugliness, use positive information to overwhelm negative information. Each journalistic work will contribute to cleaning up the online environment, while building social consensus.
Previously, at the conference, many opinions focused on discussing the organic linkage between three core factors to improve the capacity of journalists.
That is: Combativeness in theory: Equipping journalists with the ability to sharply refute based on scientific and historical grounds, overcoming emotional feedback.
Expertise in nghiệp vụ: Orienting the development of Solutions Journalism and Data Journalism to prove the correctness in the Party's guidelines and policies with practical arguments, and at the same time innovate the content of Party building work to reach young people more effectively.
Mastering digital skills: Requiring proficient application of AI in the process of producing political content, using algorithms to spread positive information according to the motto "taking beauty to eliminate ugliness".
