On February 20, the People's Committee of Ben Tre province held a conference to announce the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on the arrangement of the apparatus and the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on the organization of cadres at agencies and units implementing the arrangement according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee.

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Home Affairs of Ben Tre province reported briefly the results of the organizational arrangement; announced the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on the arrangement of the organizational apparatus of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; announced and presented the Decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on personnel work at agencies and units.
Accordingly, at the provincial level, the arrangement has reduced 5 specialized agencies (from 17 agencies to 12 agencies), exceeding the target of reducing at least 15% of internal organizations. At the district level, the arrangement has decreased from 99 specialized agencies to 81 agencies.
According to the Department of Home Affairs of Ben Tre, this agency has advised the Provincial People's Committee to resolve the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the process of restructuring the apparatus according to regulations. It is expected that about 600 cadres, civil servants and public employees will be streamlined, contributing to reducing budget expenditures for the organizational apparatus and increasing investment in development.

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Home Affairs announced the decisions of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee on appointing the Board of Directors and Directors of the departments. Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Giau holds the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Mr. Duong Van Phuc holds the position of Director of the Department of Finance, Mr. Doan Van Danh holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Mr. Lam Van Tan holds the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Cao Minh Duc holds the position of Director of the Department of Construction.
The conference also announced decisions on personnel transfer and appointment at the Department of Education and Training; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; announced decisions on personnel transfer to take up tasks at a number of new units, as well as a list of cadres who voluntarily quit their jobs to serve the work of restructuring the apparatus.



Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Ngoc Tam - Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee - suggested that in the coming time, agencies, units and localities that do well the organization after the arrangement must urgently implement the newly assigned functions and tasks, ensuring continuous and smooth operation. Agencies and units must carry out well the work of handing over and receiving the organizational apparatus, payroll, personnel, finance, assets, records, documents and related issues, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, strictness, practicality, efficiency and economy. At the same time, promptly perfect the internal organizational apparatus, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
