Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has just signed and issued Resolution No. 176/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term.
According to the resolution of the 15th National Assembly, 9th Session, approved on February 18, 2025, the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term includes 14 ministries and 3 ministerial-level agencies.
Including: Ministry of National Defense; Ministry of Public Security; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Home Affairs; Ministry of Justice; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Industry and Trade; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; Ministry of Construction; Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Science and Technology; Ministry of Education and Training; Ministry of Health; Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; State Bank of Vietnam; Government Inspectorate; Government Office.
This Resolution takes effect from the date of its approval by the National Assembly and replaces Resolution No. 08/2021/QH15 dated July 23, 2021 of the National Assembly on the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term.
Also according to the National Assembly's resolution, ministries and ministerial-level agencies under the new Government apparatus will officially operate from March 1, 2025.
The old Government apparatus includes ministries and ministerial-level agencies under the organizational structure of the Government for the 15th National Assembly term under Resolution No. 08/2021/QH15 of the National Assembly to continue operating until February 28, 2025.
According to the direction of the Government, to implement the National Assembly's resolution, ministries, agencies and localities, according to their functions, tasks and authority, are assigned to organize drastic implementation, ensuring the progress of work related to the reorganization of the apparatus; not allowing the activities of ministries, agencies and People's Committees of localities to be interrupted or miss work, especially work directly related to people, businesses, other relevant agencies, organizations and units;
Closely monitor to promptly handle problems and difficulties arising in the process of merging and consolidating agencies; link the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus with restructuring the staff and innovating the way of organizing work.
Notably, ministries and agencies are required to urgently complete and submit to the Government for promulgation Decrees on the functions, tasks, and powers of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government under the new organizational apparatus; ensure operation from March 1, 2025;
At the same time, review and amend according to authority or propose amendments and supplements to legal documents related to the improvement of the organizational apparatus.
