The Government has issued Decree No. 109/2025/ND-CP stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate.
According to Decree No. 109/2025/ND-CP, the Government Inspectorate consists of 22 units, including 20 administrative units, assisting the Government Inspectorate General in performing the function of state management; 2 public service units, serving the function of state management of the Government Inspectorate.
The Decree clearly states that the Central Citizen Reception Committee directly manages the Central Citizen Reception Headquarters in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Government Inspector General stipulates the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of units under the Government Inspectorate.
This Decree takes effect from June 1, 2025. This Decree replaces Decree No. 81/2023/ND-CP dated November 27, 2023 of the Government regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate and abolishing and amending inspection regulations in 13 relevant Decrees.
The Government Inspectorate is a ministerial -level agency of the Government, performing the function of state management of inspection, receiving citizens, settling complaints, denunciations and prevention of corruption and negative nationwide; Carrying out the inspection and receiving activities of citizens, settling complaints, denunciations and prevention of corruption, wastefulness and negativity in accordance with the law.
The Government Inspectorate performs the tasks and powers as prescribed in the Government's Law, the Inspection Law, the Law on Citizenship, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, the Law on Anti -Corruption and the Government's regulations on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial -level agencies.
