Previously, at around 12:00 on May 24, people traveling on Thong Nhat Street, Van Thanh Ward, Nha Trang City, discovered smoke coming from the Branch of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and immediately reported it to the fire fighting force.
Upon receiving the news, the professional fire fighting force quickly dispatched 2 fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene.
At the time of the fire, the bank was suspended, forcing the soldiers to break the door to approach the fire area.
However, the fire spread, and the scene commander dispatched 2 more fire trucks and dozens of soldiers to the scene to support the fire fighting work.
Currently, smoke is still rising from the bank branch. Firefighting forces are still focusing on controlling the fire, preventing it from spreading to adjacent houses.
The roads are being blocked by the authorities to serve the fire fighting work.
