On November 16, the Government Office announced that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1396/QD-TTg to transfer and appoint Mr. Vo Van Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The term of appointment is 5 years. This decision takes effect from November 15, 2024.
Mr. Vo Van Hung was born in 1972, hometown in Vinh Thuy commune, Vinh Linh district (Quang Tri); professional qualification: PhD in Forestry; theoretical qualification: Senior political.
Before February 2015, Mr. Vo Van Hung was Vice Chairman of Cam Lo District People's Committee. From February to May 2015, Mr. Vo Van Hung was Deputy Director of Quang Tri Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; from June 2015 to July 2019, he was Director of Quang Tri Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
July 2019 - June 7, 2020, Mr. Vo Van Hung held the position of Secretary of Dong Ha City Party Committee, term 2015-2020.
On June 8, 2020, the 30th Conference of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Term XVI elected Mr. Vo Van Hung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Dong Ha City Party Committee, as Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2015-2020.
On June 9, the 15th session of the People's Council of Quang Tri province, term VII, 2016-2021, elected Mr. Vo Van Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee - as Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.
At the first session of the 8th term People's Council of Quang Tri province, term 2021-2026, Mr. Vo Van Hung was re-elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, term 2021-2026.
