Appointment of Mr. Tran Hong Thai as Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
On March 12, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference to announce and award the decision to appoint Mr. Tran Hong Thai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (S&T) to hold the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Mr. Tran Hong Thai is a leading and managerial cadre with more than 20 years of diverse and rich work experience in the fields of scientific research, state management and local administration.
Before working at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, he held the positions of: Director General of the General Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Council.
Appointment of Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee as Deputy Minister of Education and Training
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 425/QD-TTg dated March 11, 2026, receiving and appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training (MOET).
She has held positions such as: Vice Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem Specialized High School; Principal of Vinh Long High School; Head of Vinh Long City Department of Education and Training; Deputy Director, Director, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Department of Education and Training; Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang becomes Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council for the 2026-2031 term
On March 10, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, a conference was held to announce the Politburo's decision to establish the Central Theoretical Council for the 2026-2031 term.
