The Quang Ninh Monuments and Scenes Management Board was established on the basis of transferring the status quo of the Tran Dynasty Monument Management Board (under the old Dong Trieu City), the Yen Tu National Monuments and Forest Management Board (under the old Uong Bi City) and the Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic Management Board (under the old Quang Yen Town) to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province for reorganization according to regulations. On that basis, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province has presided over the development of a project to merge the above units and has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee.
At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province announced the decision to appoint the leader of the Management Board of Monuments and Dignities of Quang Ninh province.
Accordingly, Mr. Le Tien Dung - Head of the Yen Tu National Monuments and Forests Management Board - was appointed to the position of Head of the Quang Ninh Provincial Monuments and Dignity Management Board.
The Deputy Heads of the Board include: Mr. Pham Chien Thang - Head of the Management Board of Bach Dang Special National Historical Site; Mr. Pham Van Luu - Deputy Management Board of Bach Dang Special National Historical Site; Mr. Le Van Thao - Deputy Management Board of Yen Tu National Monuments and Forests; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong and Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Deputy Management Board of Tran Dynasty Relic Site.
The establishment of the Quang Ninh Provincial Monuments and Scenes Management Board under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is a specific step to implement the policy of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units, while building a model of organizing local government at two levels. The merger of the Relic Management Boards is a correct decision, strategic and long-term orientation in the journey to bring the Yen Tu Scenic Landscape Complex to UNESCO's recognition as a World Cultural Heritage; creating a syndicated and unified strength in the work of preserving and promoting heritage values.
