On April 8, at the First Session, the 16th National Assembly, with 488/488 delegates participating in voting in favor (reaching 100% of the delegates present), the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) on the appointment of Judges of the SPC.
On the afternoon of April 9, at the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam chaired the ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint Judges of the Supreme People's Court.
At the ceremony, after announcing the President's decision to appoint Judge of the Supreme People's Court, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office Pham Thanh Ha announced the decision to appoint Judge of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hai Tram to hold the position of Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.

Speaking to receive the assignment, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hai Tram expressed his deep gratitude to the Party and State leaders who have always paid special attention to the development of the Court sector in the past time; paying attention to the work of consolidating the leadership of the Supreme People's Court and Judges of the Supreme People's Court.
Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram committed to continue to make every effort, together with the leadership collective and the Judges' Council of the Supreme People's Court, to unite and unify to implement and successfully complete the functions and tasks of the People's Court sector, to contribute to building a professional, modern, fair, strict, and incorruptible judiciary; participate in building and perfecting a complete, synchronous, unified, transparent, feasible, and stable legal system to create a foundation for the national management and administration system to develop modernly, serving national development.
Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram was born in 1975, her hometown is Phu Tho province.
During her work process, Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram has held many positions and positions such as Deputy Director of the Department of Monitoring and Handling of Cases, Central Internal Affairs Commission, Chief of Office of the Supreme People's Procuracy (VKSNDTC), Director of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Procuracy; Director of the Department of Exercising the Right to Prosecute and Supervising the Investigation of Corruption Cases, Positions (Department 5), VKSNDTC, Prosecutor of VKSNDTC, Deputy Director and then Standing Deputy Director of VKSNDTC.
On November 4, 2024, she was transferred and appointed as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. On July 1, 2025, she held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee (new) for the 2020-2025 term.
On October 1, 2025, at the 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, she was appointed to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.
On December 30, 2025, according to Decision No. 61-QD/DU of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies, she holds the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Court for the term 2025-2030.
At the beginning of 2026, at the 14th National Party Congress, Ms. Nguyen Hai Tram was elected as a member of the 14th Central Committee of the Party.
