On the afternoon of April 9, at the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam chaired the ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint Judges of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), according to VNA.

Presenting the decision and congratulating the personnel appointed to the position of Judge of the Supreme People's Court, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that this is a great honor, and also a very heavy political responsibility to the Party, State and people for each comrade.
General Secretary and President To Lam requested the People's Court system, especially the individuals appointed today, to maintain political bravery, absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; steadfast in the principle of respecting the law in adjudication activities. Each judge must be truly independent in adjudication, only obey the law; not let any pressure dominate adjudication activities; not let personal interests and private relationships affect the impartiality and objectivity of judgments.
Each judgment and decision must ensure compliance with the law, reasonableness, and utility.
Emphasizing the necessity to improve the quality of adjudication, considering this as the central and core task of the court system, General Secretary and President To Lam noted that each judgment and decision must ensure legality, reasonableness, persuasiveness and have educational and social orientation effects; it is necessary to continue to minimize cases of judgments being overturned or amended due to subjective reasons; absolutely not to let wrongful convictions occur.
According to General Secretary and President To Lam, it is necessary to focus on building a team of court officials who are clean, honest, and disciplined; resolutely prevent and combat corruption and negativity in judicial activities; must tighten discipline and public service order; strengthen inspection, examination, and supervision; strictly handle all violations; not condone violations for any reason; continue to promote judicial reform, build a modern, professional, and effective court system.
The implementation of the 3-level court model must ensure streamlining, efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency; and at the same time be associated with improving the quality of the staff, promoting the application of information technology, and digital transformation in the operation of the court.
Clearly stating the goal of placing the people at the center of judicial activities, the General Secretary and President said that the court must be truly close to the people, understand the people, and take the protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people as the highest goal of judicial activities. Each judgment of the court must contribute to protecting justice, protecting justice, and contributing to consolidating people's trust in the Party, the State, the socialist regime, and the fairness and strictness of the law.
