The Ministry of Home Affairs guides the determination of the title of radiation officer

HƯƠNG NHA |

The Ministry of Home Affairs said that if readers meet the conditions specified in Decree 142/2020/ND-CP, the title of "Radiation officer" will be applied.

Mr. Hoang Trung Dung (character's name has been changed) learned from Circular 11/2020/TT-BLDTBXH and Circular 19/2023/TT-BLDTBXH, List of arduous, toxic, dangerous and especially arduous, toxic, dangerous jobs that currently do not have the work of operating radiation equipment.

The position of the employee operating the linear accelerator (using high-intensity X-ray) is not listed in these two circulars, although it directly works with the radiation equipment.

According to Mr. Dung, in the XXV part. Science - Technology, on page 81, lines 25 and 33, there are two jobs with overlapping names.

Therefore, he suggested that the management agency study and consider adding the work of "operating radiation equipment" (with the characteristics of direct contact with ionized radiation) to the list of arduous, toxic, and dangerous jobs and jobs.

This, according to him, will help workers be guaranteed and enjoy their legitimate rights.

Regarding Mr. Dung's reflection on the proposal, the Department of Employment and the Ministry of Home Affairs responded on the Electronic Information Portal.

Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree No. 142/2000/ND-CP dated December 9, 2020 of the Government regulating radiation work includes:

The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked him to review the work he is doing. If he is a subject mentioned in Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree No. 142/2020/ND-CP above and he is a radiation officer with a radiation safety training certificate with the condition of working in frequent contact with radioactive sources and toxic chemicals, he will apply the job title of "Rade radiation officer", working conditions of type V, Section XXV-Certificate No. 11/2020/TT-BLDTBXH.

In case the profession or job he is doing is not subject to the provisions of Clause 2.3, Article 1 of Decree No. 142/2020/ND-CP, he shall submit a proposal to the enterprise where he is working so that the enterprise can prepare a dossier and propose to the Ministry of Science and Technology to submit a proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs for consideration of issuing an additional list of occupations.
