The method of calculating citizen age is implemented as follows:
The age of citizens is calculated from the date, month, year of birth recorded in the Birth Certificate to the date of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term that has been set (March 15, 2026).
In case there is no Birth Certificate, it is based on the information recorded in the Citizen Identification Card and Passport to calculate the age for exercising the right to vote and run for election;
Each full age is calculated from the date and month of birth of the previous year to the date and month of birth of the following year;
In case the date of birth cannot be determined, the 1st day of the month of birth is used as the basis for determining the age to exercise the right to vote and run for election.
In case the date and month of birth cannot be determined, the January 1 of the year of birth is used as the basis for determining the age to exercise the right to vote and run for election.
