Recently, the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Tinh province proposed to amend Decision No. 960/QD-TTg dated July 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the list of State secrets to ensure compliance with administrative reform and implementation of document processing in the online environment.
In an official dispatch responding to voters of Ha Tinh province regarding this content, the Ministry of Home Affairs said: In 2024, the Ministry of Home Affairs will prepare a dossier to propose amending Decision No. 960/QD-TTg dated July 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the list of State secrets in the field of home affairs.
In response to the opinions and recommendations of voters in Ha Tinh province, in the process of amending Decision No. 960/QD-TTg dated July 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Home Affairs will coordinate with agencies to continue researching and perfecting regulations to ensure the implementation of the list of State secrets as prescribed in Decision No. 960/QD-TTg in accordance with the actual situation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said that Clause 5 and Clause 6, Article 5 of the Law on Protection of State Secrets stipulates prohibited acts in protecting state secrets, including:
- Drafting and storing documents containing State secrets on computers or other devices that are connected or are being connected to the Internet, computer networks, or telecommunications networks, except for cases of storing State secrets as prescribed by the law on cryptography.
- Transmitting state secrets on media and telecommunications in violation of the provisions of the law on cryptography.
The Ministry of Home Affairs recommends that voters ensure compliance with the provisions of the law on the protection of State secrets.
