On August 13, the 1st Yen So Ward Party Congress (Hanoi) for the 2025-2030 term held an official session, with the participation of 179 delegates, representing 1,680 party members.
The Yen So Ward Party Congress has the theme: "Promoting traditional cultural and historical values, heroes, solidarity, innovation, bravery, creativity, determination to build a civilized, modern Yen So ward, a happy people". This is an important political event, a deep mark of the entire Party Committee and people in the ward.
At the Congress, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Nguyen Minh Tam Ward presented the main targets for the coming term. Accordingly, the Yen So Ward Party Committee set a target of average economic growth of 10%/year, budget revenue reached and exceeded the target assigned by the city, the poverty rate decreased below 0.5% and 100% of residential groups achieved the cultural title.
Regarding breakthrough solutions, delegates discussed and analyzed 3 key areas: Promoting digital transformation in administrative management and public services; increasing investment in technical infrastructure, especially transportation, lighting and wastewater treatment; developing high-quality human resources, improving the capacity of cadres and civil servants. The Congress has proposed 6 working programs, concretizing the Congress Resolution.
Regarding urban and environmental indicators, delegates were concerned with 3 indicators, 100% of the population uses clean water, 100% of waste is collected per day, and 3 new schools are built: kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools.
Speaking at the Congress, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha suggested that the Yen So Ward Party Committee urgently focus on 6 main issues: Reviewing and operating the government at 2 levels smoothly; maintaining solidarity, improving leadership capacity; promoting potential, investing in infrastructure, managing planning; promoting the application of IT, building digital government; proactively ensuring security and handling situations in a timely manner; after the Congress, it is necessary to promote propaganda, dissemination and concretization of the Congress Resolution.
Yen So ward needs to focus all resources on investment, synchronous and civilized urban development, rapid, harmonious and sustainable economic development, and improved material, cultural and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, build and manage urban areas according to the plan, strengthen environmental protection and improvement, strive to basically complete synchronous technical infrastructure, social infrastructure by 2030...
At the Congress, there was a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee on appointing the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, the Inspection Committee of the Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and the Decision to appoint delegates to the 18th Congress of the Hanoi City Party Committee.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Tam (former Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Mai District) was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Yen So Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
