On the morning of November 26, giving his opinion at the meeting hall on the work of preventing and combating crime and law violations, delegate Duong Khac Mai (National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province) highly appreciated the Government for its efforts and proposed many drastic and effective solutions to combat crime and law violations, ensuring socio-economic development, stabilizing people's lives, and perfecting institutions and laws in this field, which have been implemented promptly and improved in quality.
However, the delegate said that the crime and law violations of minors are on the rise. Nationwide, 5,216 cases were detected, 15,243 subjects, of which more than 30% were female, an increase of 15.6% in the number of subjects; 2,854 cases were prosecuted, 6,325 defendants; more than 10,000 administrative cases were handled, of which many were students, "which is very alarming, creating anxiety in society".
“In the past, there have been many heartbreaking incidents. Just a small conflict, just feeling dissatisfied or dissatisfied in daily life, you can solve it with weapons and leave serious consequences for yourself, your family and society,” the delegate stated.
The delegate said that through discussions with many parents, they do not feel really secure when their children go out or participate in social activities at school.
Besides, there are still frequent incidents of young people gathering, disturbing public order and using social networks to resolve conflicts with each other.
"Never before have parents had to worry so much," delegate Duong Khac Mai exclaimed.
To reduce and prevent crimes among young people, delegates said that, in addition to the responsibilities of the government, families, schools, and society, the Government should assess more closely and comprehensively the current situation and make predictions for the future, in order to have synchronous and comprehensive solutions.
At the same time, there are strong sanctions to better control the use of social networks to commit crimes and violate the law among teenagers.
“It is sad to see that surveys at prisons, detention centers, drug rehabilitation centers, and temporary detention centers show that the proportion of inmates who are young people and teenagers has been increasing in recent years, even though they are still very young. If this continues, where will their future go?”, the delegate asked.
Delegates raised the issue of responsibility of families, clans, neighbors, schools, and social organizations in the face of this situation and what should be done to limit it?
In addition, with the situation of fraud and law violations through social networks still complicated, in a country with a large proportion of Internet users, delegates suggested that more drastic and stronger actions are needed to prevent it.
