This morning (September 18), the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department (Ministry of National Defence) held an incense offering ceremony at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs (Bac Son Street, Hanoi) and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, launching an emulation campaign.
In a solemn atmosphere, on behalf of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, Brigadier General Pham Manh Thang - Director of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, launched the emulation movement with the theme "Solidarity, exemplary, disciplined, proactive, creative, determined to win" with the guiding ideology: Maintain solidarity, be exemplary, strengthen discipline, be proactive, innovative, and excellently complete the task.
With the implementation period from September 18, 2024 to October 1, 2025, the movement sets out a number of specific emulation targets such as: actively studying and practicing to improve comprehensive knowledge; promoting the spirit of internal solidarity, military-civilian solidarity, international solidarity, excellently completing assigned tasks, ensuring absolute safety during the implementation of tasks.
Strictly comply with the laws of the State, military discipline; the United Nations code of conduct, regulations of the mission and the laws of the host country; understand the customs, practices, religions and beliefs of local people and international friends and colleagues to behave civilly during work.
Be proactive and creative to continue to do a good job of propaganda and strongly promote the good traditional cultural values of the country and people of Vietnam and the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new era to international friends.
Brigadier General Pham Manh Thang affirmed that the successful completion of the working term of the officers and soldiers of Engineering Team No. 3 and Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 has great political significance, directly contributing to consolidating and enhancing the position and prestige of Vietnam and the Vietnam People's Army in the international arena; making practical contributions to the cause of building and firmly protecting the Fatherland early, from afar, right from peacetime and by peaceful means.
According to the plan, the 3rd Engineering Team with 180 soldiers is expected to depart for the UNISFA mission (Abyei area) on September 24 by a chartered flight from Noi Bai airport.
On the same day, 63 soldiers from Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 will also depart for the UNMISS mission (South Sudan) from Noi Bai airport by C-17 aircraft sponsored by Australia.
