The Government has just issued Resolution No. 95/NQ-CP dated April 6, 2026 on the dossier of the Project to establish 10 wards under Dong Nai province and establish Dong Nai city directly under the Central Government.
The Resolution clearly states that the Government approves the dossier of the project to establish 10 wards under Dong Nai province and establish Dong Nai city directly under the Central Government at the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Government assigns the Ministry of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to fully absorb the opinions of Government members to complete the submission, project, draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of 10 wards of Dong Nai province and draft Resolution of the National Assembly on the establishment of Dong Nai city directly under the Central Government according to regulations.
The Government assigns the Minister of Home Affairs, authorized by the Prime Minister, to represent the Government in signing the submission, project, report on receiving, explaining, and revising the dossier of the project to establish 10 wards of Dong Nai province and establish Dong Nai city directly under the Central Government according to the opinions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly agencies and National Assembly Deputies.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is fully responsible for the content of the project dossier, draft Resolutions and proposed issues, reports; prepare complete dossiers and documents to send to the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and agencies of the National Assembly, ensuring quality and timelines according to regulations.
Proactively report and explain to the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee to ensure strictness and compliance with regulations; promptly report to the Prime Minister on issues arising beyond their authority.
Dong Nai is having outstanding advantages in strategic location and connecting infrastructure with Long Thanh International Airport, expressway system, ring roads, railways, seaports and inter-regional logistics networks that are being invested and completed.
Dong Nai also has favorable conditions to expand development space, strengthen regional linkages and gradually enhance its role in the process of international integration.
Along with that, Dong Nai has met 7/7 conditions for establishing a centrally-run city and achieved 13/15 standards of a type I urban area.
Previously, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, on April 3, the working delegation of the Ministry of Home Affairs surveyed and appraised the dossier of the project to establish 10 wards under Dong Nai province and establish Dong Nai city directly under the Central Government.
At the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut presented a summary of 2 projects of the province including: Project to establish 10 wards and project to establish Dong Nai city directly under the Central Government.
Speaking at the conclusion of the working session, Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Home Affairs, Head of the working delegation highly appreciated the efforts, determination, and decisiveness of the Party Committee and government of Dong Nai in implementing the project of a city directly under the Central Government and establishing wards.
The head of the working delegation also requested relevant agencies to closely coordinate with Dong Nai province to urgently complete the dossier to submit to the Government for submission to the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.
