On the evening of February 8, before the Binh Ngo Spring, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi Capital, President Luong Cuong and his wife attended the special art program "Homeland Spring 2026".
With the theme "Vietnam's Aspiration: Peace, Prosperity", Homeland Spring 2026 expresses the country's vision and aspirations for development in the new period.
Speaking to wish Tet to overseas Vietnamese and beat the drum to open the Spring festival, expressing joy and emotion at meeting our compatriots from all five continents to participate in the 2026 Homeland Spring Program, the President sent to all our compatriots at home and abroad, along with compatriots and distinguished guests, warm feelings, cordial greetings and best New Year wishes.
The President said that in the Year of the Snake 2025, our country has gone through a journey marking many important events of special significance and has achieved many very proud achievements with important events such as the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; 135th anniversary of the birth of the great President Ho Chi Minh; 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd; 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification; at the same time, 2025 also marks the process of streamlining the apparatus, restructuring the development space, creating momentum for a strong breakthrough to realize the two 100-year development goals of the country.
The President emphasized that in the great events of the nation, there is always the presence, contribution and companionship of our compatriots abroad, and the image of the mass parade of Vietnamese people abroad participating for the first time at the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, national reunification and the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd is a vivid proof of the spirit of great national unity and harmony; Vietnamese people, whether at home or abroad, are all "Con Lac, cháu Hong", are flesh and blood, and an inseparable part of the Vietnamese national community.
The Vietnamese community continues to be a bridge of friendship, cooperation and development between Vietnam and the Vietnamese people with countries and peoples of other countries; increasingly deeply integrating; affirming its role and prestige in the host country and continuing to contribute valuable resources to the country.
Believing that for the Vietnamese nation to develop and exist, there are many factors, including a very important factor, which is thanks to a continuous flow of aspiration, the President affirmed that "Vietnam's aspiration" is the soul of the nation, a great spiritual motivation to bring our country through all ups and downs to stand firm and rise stronger today.
The President emphasized that entering 2026 - the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, our country confidently enters a new era of development. The entire Party, people, and army are determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the National Development Strategy to 2030, Vietnam's aspiration crystallizes in: Peace and Prosperity. Peace for the country to develop quickly and sustainably; Prosperity for the people to have an increasingly prosperous and happy life.
The President called on all our compatriots at home and abroad to continue to consolidate and promote the strength of the great national unity, join hands, unite, bring their wisdom, resources and enthusiasm to contribute to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland; each contribution, whether large or small, is precious bricks to build a peaceful and prosperous Vietnam.
