On the evening of November 1 (local time), Politburo member and President Luong Cuong and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Busan City, successfully concluding their working trip to attend the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Week in Gyeongju City and working bilaterally in Korea at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung from October 29 to November 1.
According to VNA, the delegation at Busan City Airport, on the South Korean side, was Director of the Diplomatic Academy Choi Hyung Chan and the leaders of Busan City. On the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Vu Ho, Vietnamese Consulate General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan and staff of the Embassy and Consulate General of Vietnam in South Korea.
Within the framework of participating in the APEC Summit Week, President Luong Cuong had a series of meetings with leaders of APEC economies, including US President Donald Trump, General Secretary, President of China Xi Jinping; and meetings with leaders of the world's leading corporations and enterprises.
In particular, President Luong Cuong attended, discussed and delivered important speeches at the APEC Summit sessions, as well as the APEC 2025 Business Summit.
At activities within the framework of APEC, President Luong Cuong made many strategic and breakthrough proposals to promote cooperation, further promote the role and position of APEC in international economic cooperation and linkages, and respond to challenges facing the international community in general and the Asia-Pacific region in particular.
President Luong Cuong also conveyed a strong message about Vietnam's potential, advantages, policies and strategic breakthroughs, thereby giving international friends a more comprehensive view of Vietnam's development orientations and continuing to accompany, support and stand side by side with Vietnam in the new era, especially mobilizing financial and technological resources... to serve the goal of transforming the growth model, promoting innovation, green transformation and digital transformation.
Within the framework of bilateral activities in Korea, President Luong Cuong had an important meeting with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung, in which the two sides agreed to coordinate the effective implementation of existing cooperation mechanisms and promote the substantive implementation of cooperation documents signed between the two countries; pledged to promote mutually beneficial economic cooperation, in line with the development goals of both sides, creating a major and substantial shift in cooperation.
President Luong Cuong also had meetings with leaders of Busan city; met with officials and staff of Vietnamese representative agencies and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Korea and attended the "Vietnam Day" jointly organized by Gyeongsangbuk province, the New Rural Fund of Korea and the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea...
President Luong Cuong's working trip was a great success in both multilateral and bilateral aspects, leaving a good impression on Vietnam's role, position, and positive and substantial contributions to solving economic and trade issues, regional development cooperation as well as promoting Vietnam-Korea relations and Vietnam relations with APEC economies.
