The welcoming ceremony for Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and his wife on an official visit to Vietnam was chaired by President Luong Cuong and his wife on the morning of November 25. After the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders held talks.
VTV reported that welcoming President Rumen Radev and his wife to Vietnam, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the President's visit, taking place before the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, is of great significance, and is the basis for creating a new breakthrough to deepen the traditional friendship and many good aspects between the two countries, making it more substantial and effective.
The President affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Bulgaria, Vietnam's priority partner in the Central Eastern Europe region.
Expressing his joy at his first visit to Vietnam, the Bulgarian President affirmed that Bulgaria considers Vietnam a leading important partner in Southeast Asia and wishes to promote cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.
The two leaders had in-depth discussions on major orientations and measures to strengthen cooperation and elevate relations in the coming time, especially increasing high-level contacts, consolidating the pillars of cooperation in trade and investment, encouraging ministries, local sectors and businesses of both sides to effectively implement the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement; promoting cooperation in the fields of agriculture, culture, sports, information technology, mineral processing, environment, etc.
The two sides affirmed that they will closely coordinate, share experiences and support each other at multilateral forums, contributing to jointly solving global challenges.
Immediately after the talks, President Luong Cuong and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev witnessed the exchange of cooperation documents between the two countries.
