On June 8, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on the occasion of his official visit to Vietnam and attending the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum.
The two leaders expressed their pleasure that the relations between the two Parties and the two countries have developed substantially with many specific results in all fields. The two leaders highly appreciated the increasingly developed cooperation between the Senate, the National Assembly of Cambodia and the National Assembly of Vietnam, especially the regular meetings between the Speakers of the National Assemblies of the two countries on the occasion of multilateral forums making important contributions to the solidarity and friendship between the two countries; agreed to deepen parliamentary cooperation through high-level delegation exchanges, specialized committees, Friendship Parliamentary Groups, Young Parliamentarians, and female Parliamentarians; closely coordinate at multilateral forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), the Inter-Parliamentary Council of Southeast Asian Nations, the Francophone Parliamentary Union and regional cooperation mechanisms.
The two sides emphasized the historical value of the two countries' relations and affirmed close coordination in widespread propaganda among all strata of people, especially the young generation of the two countries, to fully understand the historical value as well as the responsibility in preserving and nurturing the traditional friendly relationship between the two Parties and the two countries, especially towards the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations - a special historical milestone in the relations between the two countries, with many meaningful activities (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2027).

On the afternoon of June 8, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, who is on an official visit to Vietnam and attending the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in relations between the National Assemblies of the two countries; emphasized that based on the Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the House of Representatives of Thailand (signed in 2023), the two sides continue to exchange delegations at all levels, expand exchanges between Friendship Parliamentary Groups (especially the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Parliamentary Group), female parliamentarians and young parliamentarians; closely coordinate at multilateral forums.
Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, the two leaders agreed to continue to consolidate political trust, maintain high-level delegation exchanges at all levels, effectively implement the Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2026 - 2031; strengthen parliamentary cooperation, promote the role of Friendship Parliamentary Groups, promote exchanges between female parliamentarians, young parliamentarians and specialized agencies of the National Assembly of the two countries, strengthen sharing of legislative and supervisory experiences in the coming time; promote connectivity between the two economies; effectively implement the "Three Connections" Strategy; promote bilateral trade, strive to soon achieve the target of 25 billion USD in trade turnover; expand cooperation in the fields of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; promote friendly exchanges between people of all strata.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man thanked and hoped that the Thai Government will continue to create conditions for the Vietnamese community in Thailand to actively participate in economic and social life and become an important bridge for friendship between the two nations.
