On the afternoon of January 13, 2026, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia Chea Kimtha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States Marc Knapper, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines Maynardo L.B. Montealegrea to say goodbye on the occasion of the Ambassadors ending their term in Vietnam.
Receiving Cambodian Ambassador Chea Kimtha, the National Assembly Chairwoman congratulated Cambodia on the important achievements it has made in the past time, contributing to enhancing Cambodia's position in the region and in the world, and congratulated the Ambassador on excellently completing all aspects of his work in Vietnam, contributing to the comprehensive development of the Vietnam-Cambodia friendly relations.

Respectfully conveying the greetings and New Year greetings of CPP Chairman, Senate Chairman Hun Sen and Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Khuon Sudary to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Ambassador Chea Kimtha highly appreciated the Party and State of Vietnam's donation to Cambodia of the National Assembly's Administrative Building, considering this a symbol of traditional solidarity and friendship between the two countries, and thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly for always creating favorable conditions for the Ambassador to complete his task.
Receiving US Ambassador Marc Knapper, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated the Ambassador on having a successful term of office in Vietnam; respectfully thanked and highly appreciated the Ambassador's positive and effective contributions in promoting Vietnam-US relations to develop strongly, substantively and comprehensively in all fields, marked by the two countries upgrading relations to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2023; acknowledged the Ambassador's efforts in deepening the cooperative relationship between the National Assemblies of the two countries.

Receiving Philippine Ambassador Maynardo L.B. Montealegrea, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the Ambassador's role in promoting the Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as in arranging high-level visits of the leaders of the two countries. The National Assembly Chairman congratulated the comprehensive achievements the Philippines has achieved in the past in terms of economy, culture, defense - security and foreign affairs, expressed support and confidence that the Philippines will successfully organize important events in its capacity as ASEAN President and AIPA President in 2026.

Ambassador Meynardo Montealegre respectfully thanked the support and concern of the Party and State leaders, ministries, departments, branches and localities of Vietnam throughout his term. The Ambassador highly appreciated the cooperation between the two countries in all fields in the past, agreeing that the two countries continue to promote economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, striving to soon reach a bilateral trade turnover of 10 billion USD. At the meeting, the Ambassador announced that the Philippines had lifted the temporary suspension of rice imports, creating conditions for the two countries to strengthen rice trade cooperation and ensure food security.
