On the morning of May 4, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation (unit No. 12) met with voters in 11 communes in the city after the first session of the 16th National Assembly.
The meeting was organized directly at Hoc Mon Commune People's Committee, and also connected online to 10 communes including: Xuan Thoi Son, Ba Diem, Phu Hoa Dong, Dong Thanh, Binh My, An Nhon Tay, Nhuan Duc, Thai My, Tan An Hoi and Cu Chi.

At the working session, voters listened to representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation report on the results of the first session of the 16th National Assembly, as well as the activities of the delegation at this session.
The first session of the 16th National Assembly closed on April 24th after 12 days of active, urgent, and serious work, with a spirit of innovation, science, and high responsibility.
At the first session, the 16th National Assembly focused on consolidating the State apparatus, electing senior leadership positions according to the provisions of the Constitution and law; promptly institutionalizing many guidelines and policies into laws to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress; deciding on socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs, including many urgent and pressing tasks.
